With the nights getting earlier and people going out to enjoy the Autumn scenery and begin the festive season, more and more people have been looking at comfort food and warm places to sit down and enjoy a meal.
We've taken a look at booking website OpenTable, which analyses more than 400,000 new diner reviews each month to help foodies discover new favourites.
OpenTable have compiled a list of the most frequently booked restaurants across the Black Country and Staffordshire for someone booking a table at 7pm, so here are the top eight, in no particular order, according to the site.
The Slug and Lettuce, Wolverhampton
Found in Wolverhampton city centre, the Slug and Lettuce is a popular chain bar and nightspot which also serves a wide selection of food between 11am and 9pm each day.
The Slug and Lettuce features a full menu, with a mix-and-match menu for three items for £16 or five items for £25, a sharers menu, main courses including fish and chips, steak and fries and an Hawaiian rice bowl, plus plenty of burgers, sandwiches and indulgent desserts.
There's also a special lunch menu for those craving something lighter on their lunch break.
Part of a group of four pubs across the region under the Vik's Pubs banner, the Lancaster combines a traditional pub menu with a sizzling Indian Grill experience to provide something for everyone.
The main menu provides a wide variety, from an all-day breakfast to comfort food delights like Steak and Ale pie, New Jersey Chicken and Lasagne, green options like Penang Curry and Mushroom Risotto and a fine range of steaks and seafood options.
The Indian menu provides a full restaurant experience, with chef's specials and traditional curries full of chicken, lamb and seafood, plus sizzling meats straight from the grill and the desi pub staple of mixed grills.
Once a derelict pub heading for demolition, the Lesters Arms has been transformed into a destination venue for diners and drinkers looking for a new level of personal service, imaginative dishes and a wide selection of craft beers, ales, and signature cocktails.
The restaurant provides high quality, gourmet food cooked by head chef Phil Jones, who brings with him a wealth of culinary experience working at Le Caprice in Mayfair, one of the Canary Islands’ leading beachfront restaurants and the Hartley Arms in Wheaton Aston.

Highlights include the Crowd Pleaser sharer, a kilo of chicken or cauliflower wings cooked in sauces ranging from mild to inferno, stone baked pizzas, crafted burgers including one with three burgers and a mountain of onion rings and wraps available until 4pm each day.
Situated inside the picturesque village of Clent in the Worcestershire countryside, the Fountain has become known as a place with a warm welcome and olde world feeling, as well as top quality food.
The ala carte menu keeps everything together and allows the diner to choose from big tiger prawns, monkfish skewers or a duck wrap for starters, Beef Wellington, Lamb pot roast or salmon for a main course and creme brulee, brownies or Keylime posset for dessert.
There are also smaller, more specialist menus for lunch, sitting on the patio or as a Sunday lunch, allowing those wanting a smaller meal to satisfy that need.
Red Cow Pub and Grill, Smethwick
The Red Cow Pub & Grill is a landmark Black Country family-run pub that has been open since 1930 and prides itself upon excellent service and even better food.
It was taken over by Bera Mahli and Gamy Hayre in 2010 and turned into one of the leading desi pubs in the region, with a menu which keeps a premium on quality over quantity.
Among the favourites on the menu include 11 chicken dishes ranging from mild to hot, a wide range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes and the traditional mixed grill, which goes from the Mini Cow worth £8 to the £42 Fat Cow.
Owned and run by Davenports Brewery, the pub is famed for its handmade food.
The seasonal dishes use fresh ingredients and also has a loyalty card for customers, who can pick from a full breakfast menu, a main menu full of pub classics and sticky desserts and a Sunday Roast.
New dishes included on the special menus include whipped soft cheese and chicory salad, mushroom and Mexican cheese mini calzone and celeriac and barbecue braised beef risotto.
The Littleton Restaurant at Walsall College
The Littleton is a bistro restaurant and bar on the campus of Walsall College, offering a unique dining experience.
Situated on the ground floor of The Hub, The Littleton also serves as a professional training ground, helping hospitality and catering students gain valuable industry experience.
The AA Rosette-awarded chef helps to provide a varied menu, including a breakfast menu served five days a week and a more specialist, four course menu provided on Thursdays and Fridays.
