A Wolverhampton man who has returned from the Phillipines where he was living for 18 months has been fined after appearing before Walsall Magistrates.

Ashley Cresswell, aged 55, appeared before the court yesterday charged with failing to attend a previous hearing for breach of a court order for which he was fined £50.

In August the Express & Star reported how Cresswell, of Knights Crescent, Wolverhampton, was trying to return to the UK after having his wallet and passport stolen.

Charges of harassment and abusive behaviour were thrown out by the court
