These pictures reveal how former JLS star Oritse Williams has let the former home of Ronnie Corbett run into ruin as he prepares to stand trial for allegedly raping a fan in Wolverhampton.

The home in which comedy legend Ronnie Corbett lived for 33 years has fallen into decline

The singer, who enjoyed chart success with the band, lives in a £3 million mansion which was formerly owned by the late comedian and national treasure.

But images show how it has fallen into decline, including a smashed window, broken fence and an overgrown garden with discarded furniture.

Corbett, who was one of the nation's most-loved comedians, lived in the home, which was said to be his pride and joy for 33 years. He died in March 2016.

Williams, who first came to national attention on the X Factor with his bandmates, has previously spoken about plans to repair the house but it appears to be in a poor condition.

The 32-year-old moved into the house back in 2013 with then girlfriend AJ Azari, but is not believed to be living in the property at present.

Comedian Ronnie Corbett lived at the property

At the time the singer said he was committed to renovating the property, saying in a magazine interview: "There's no point doing things half-heartedly.

"Even though it's a big project, we thought we'd take it on, work hard on it together and grow in it together."

However the JLS star has had bigger things on his mind recently after he was charged with raping a fan in a hotel room after a gig at Wolverhampton's Gorgeous nightclub.

He appeared at the city's crown court earlier this month and is due to stand trial in May. He denies the charge.

Photos from the rundown property also show a slimy green swimming pool, along with a fence in disrepair surrounding the property, and an overgrown garden with some discarded furniture.

Bailed

Williams was pictured for the first time since entering his not guilty plea earlier in the month as he stepped out in West London on Monday.

During a hearing lasting 36 minutes at Wolverhampton Crown Court, he spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and nationality as well as to deny the alleged offence.

Williams, of Croydon, South London, was granted unconditional bail until his trial on May 14 at the same court.

After leaving the court, Williams posed for photos with fans and smiled for their cameras. He picked a child up for a selfie and laughed and joked with members of the public who recognised him.

The singer was arrested after allegations he raped the woman following a gig.

Co-defendant Jamien Nagadhana, 31, from Hounslow, West London, denied assault by penetration in connection with the same incident.

Judge Nicholas Webb told the defendants: "The position is this - your trial is now listed for May 14. Your bail will continue until that date."

After the allegations came to light, Williams said he would step back from charity work, adding: "Press speculation is likely to be unhelpful to the charities I work with."
