Feed a Family This Christmas: How you can help our appeal

From festive food to store cupboard essentials, there are many ways you can support our Feed A Family This Christmas appeal.

For most of us Christmas is a time for giving, eating, and spending time with friends and family.

But there are families in the Black Country and Staffordshire struggling to put a meal on the table every day which can make the festive season seem an even bleaker time of year.

The items food banks need this Christmas

Donations of seasonal food, such as mince pies, chocolates and Christmas puddings as well as basics such as canned goods, long-life milk, fruit juice, pasta and rice will make such a difference to those in need.

Non-food items such as toiletries, socks and small gifts are also very much welcome.

We are passing on the donations to number of food banks and charitable organisations and every single item will help those less fortunate.

The good causes we will be supporting again this year are The Well (Home of Wolverhampton Food Bank), the Good Shepherd Ministry, based in Wolverhampton, the Black Country Food Bank, which has centres across Dudley, Sandwell and Walsall, Smethwick Food Bank, Walsall North Food Bank and Cannock and District Food Bank.

The appeal will also be supporting The Haven which provides both practical and emotional support services to women and children who are affected by domestic violence and homelessness
