The pupils from Haybridge High School in Worcester worked with fused glass to create pieces of art at the Red House Glass Cone in Wordsley.

Their handiwork, which was part of a nationally recognised award aimed to help them develop their art skills, will be on display at the venue from August 21 to September 29.

Councillor Ian Kettle, cabinet member for planning and economic development, said: "The Red House Glass Cone has a track record of artistic innovation and opening its doors to students of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.

“The Arts Awards give young people the opportunity to develop their skills and their confidence in an intensive and focused week-long session and I look forward to seeing some of the finished pieces at this year’s International Festival of Glass which runs over the august bank holiday weekend.”
