Coin to celebrate Dudley Zoo's 80th anniversary
An exclusive coin to commemorate a milestone of a year for Dudley zoo has gone on sale.
The metal coin, which has no monetary value, has been released to coincide with Dudley Zoo's 80th anniversary and are on sale in the Safari Shop.
The coin features the new zoo logo along with the anniversary logo.
Despite it only being on sale for the past few days, visitors have been quick to snap up the £3.99 souvenir.
Retail Manager, Isobel Blackwell, said: “This is a new product for DZG, but they’re proving very popular.
“We wanted something to showcase the zoo’s new logo and celebratory anniversary logo and the coin has enabled us to do that.
“They are limited edition though, so once they’ve gone, they’ve gone.”
The zoo celebrates its milestone on May 6.
Over £290,000 worth of improvements at the zoo are also currently underway which will see various enclosures including the monkey enclosure revamped.
Other anniversary merchandise on sale includes a mug, notepad, ball point pen, fridge magnet, pin badge, bookmark and keyring.
