Walsall FC captain Adam Chambers and midfielder Erhun Oztumer, will perform the honours at the Walsall Campus in Gorway Road, next Wednesday.
The all-weather pitch, for students and local club players, is set to raise football participation in the area by 86 per cent.
The project was funded by a £465,047 grant from the Premier League & The FA Facilities Fund - delivered by the Football Foundation.
Walsall FC Community Programme will also deliver sessions on-site, with a particular focus placed on leadership programmes, and raising participation in girls' and walking football.
