Violent attack leaves victim with severe facial injuries requiring 11 stitches
A 23-year-old man has appeared in court in connection with an attack in Penkridge on another man that left him needing 11 stitches.

Chris Burton, of no fixed address, was remanded in custody at Cannock Magistrates Court yesterday after facing a charge of grievous bodily harm.
The alleged attack happened on a 28-year-old man near Monckton Recreation Centre in Penkridge on April 2.
The victim suffered severe facial injuries, including a deep cut on his eyebrow that needed 11 stitches.
Burton will next appear at Stafford Crown Court on May 1.
