Pedestrian who died in Smethwick crash named
A man who died after being hit by two cars has been named as Alan Jones, aged 67.
His wife has paid tribute to her 'loving, caring partner'.
Mr Jones died when he was struck by two cars in Thimblemill Road, Smethwick, at around 6pm on December 18.
Emergency services found Mr Jones, from Smethwick had suffered serious injuries after being hit by the two vehicles and were in cardiac arrest.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics to resuscitate him he died a short time later.
Alan's partner Caroline said "Alan was a loving caring partner, he looked after me, he was always there, he was my rock."
Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward with any information that might help with their inquires.
Sgt Neil Higgins, from the Collision Investigation Unit, said: "Alan's family have been left devastated and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has any information that could help to call the Collision Investigation Unit on 101."
