Poll: Should Chinese lanterns be banned?
As it was revealed today that a Chinese lantern caused a huge blaze at a Midlands plastic recycling plant, we're asking readers if they should be banned.

The blaze engulfed a factory unit in Smethwick, sending flames shooting more than 100ft into the sky and causing plumes of acrid smoke that could be seen from as far away as Kettering in Northamptonshire. Today, 120 firefighters were still tackling the blaze.
A fire service spokesman said: "A Chinese lantern was spotted on CCTV floating across and into the site and starting a fire in plastic bales."
