These are the men police want to speak to after conmen struck at a number of cash machines.

Unsuspecting victims were targeted by a group of men while using cash machines in West Bromwich, Smethwick and Bearwood last month.

Caught on CCTV, the men used a range of scams including telling the victim the cash machine is not working after they have inserted their card.

When the victims went into the bank to complain, their cards were removed from the machine and, in some cases, the cards were removed while the vulnerable victims were distracted.

The men, who target lone women, are also seen snatching cards from the machines after the victim has entered their PIN number. The offences happened in Sandwell, as well as four locations in Birmingham, on July 14.

They mostly happened between 10am and 3pm on main roads and busy high streets.

Areas targeted include Bromford Lane, Ward End;, Stratford Road, Sparkhill; high streets in West Bromwich and Smethwick; and Bordesley Green.

Pc Simon Wasley said: "We are appealing to the public to help us identify the suspects after a string of offences in West Bromwich, Bearwood, Bordesley Green, Ward End and Sparkhill. We are urging members of the public to be aware of their surroundings. Customers should make sure that no-one is too close to them and shield the keypad while entering PIN numbers."

Anyone who recognises the men should call Pc Wasley on 101 or information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. For safety advice, click here
