Brierley Hill homes evacuated in grenade find

A Brierley Hill family found themselves at the centre of a bomb alert when they uncovered a grenade while digging the garden.

More than 30 homes were evacuated in Addison Road ,as a bomb disposal unit swooped on the property.

The drama unfolded while Sally Mallen, aged 17, tried to dig up a tree root at her sister Michelle Bingham's home.
