Witness appeal after club shooting
Police today appealed for witnesses after a bouncer was shot in the stomach at a Dudley nightclub.

Police today appealed for witnesses after a bouncer was shot in the stomach at a Dudley nightclub.
Kenny Bain, aged 25, was shot at point-blank range following a dispute over dress code at Envoy nightclub in The Waterfront, Brierley Hill on Saturday.
Superintendent Laurie Dyer from Brierley Hill police station said: "We are treating this incident very seriously. Thankfully the victim was not badly hurt but that does not change the intent, nor the fact that a man was in possession of a firearm while out on The Waterfront.
"This is unacceptable behaviour, and we know that many people would have seen what happened, or the offender leaving the scene. We urge them to come forward and tell us what they saw."
Mr Bain was driven to hospital after the drama at Envoy, The Waterfront, Brierley Hill, police said today.
Officers were called to the club at 2.30am and sealed off the area while a forensic team carried out a search. The club remained closed on Saturday night.
Mr Bain, who works as electrician, today said he was hoping to return to work as soon as possible but was having trouble moving around because of the pain caused by his wound.
He said he had suffered internal bruising during the attack.
Police spokesman Brigg Ford today confirmed that there had been an "altercation" over dress code.
"The man refused to comply, and when he was asked to leave, he pulled out a gun," he said.
"Fortunately the doorman's injuries were not life-threatening and he was chatting with police officers just a couple of hours later."
Nightclub manager Lee Skelding, aged 26, has been running Envoy for just over six months.
Witnesses or anyone with information can call Brierley Hill Police Station on 0845 113 5000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
