A doorman at a Black Country nightclub has been shot at point-blank range following a dispute over dress code.

Police were called to Envoy nightclub in The Waterfront, Brierley Hill, at 2.30am on Saturday morning.

Twenty-five-year-old Kenny Bain was not badly hurt and drove himself to hospital, police said today.

He had received a "superficial" gunshot wound to the stomach as he tried to escort a man out of the club.
