The family of Cannock child actor Ben Wilby are considering moving to America in a bid for him to become the next Macaulay Culkin. Jillian Wilby, mother of the seven-year-old acting star, said they are considering a move to Hollywood.

Advisors have suggested that he could be the next child superstar following his starring appearance in Nativity playing a pupil called Bob. His parents said it could be the per fect time for a move.

Father Nigel has recently been made redundant.

Ben's mother said: "All Ben talks about is becoming a Hollywood star. We are not pushy parents and we don't need to be with Ben.

"He loves acting and singing and wants to go to America. Obviously it is a massive decision but it is something we are considering.

"Ben has got a talent and I think his personality would go down a storm in Hollywood.

"He could be the next Macaulay Culkin."

Ben will be given a Hollywood style welcome when he appears at the town's cinema for the premiere of his film Nativity next week.

Ben will be chauffeur driven from his home in Bishop Close to the town's Walsall Road cinema in an Aston Martin Vanquish car used in the James Bond film Die Another Day.

Once he has arrived at the venue on the evening of December 11 he will make his entrance on a red carpet which will be laid out for him.

Waiting for him will be a crowd of family, friends and fans of the star who will have come to watch the film.

Nativity will run from December 11 for a whole week at the cinema which was reopened on November 13 following a five-ear absence.

Included in the famous cast are Love Actually and The Office star Martin Freeman, Ugly Betty and Extras actress Ashley Jensen, film and TV veteran Pam Ferris, The Royle Family's Ricky Tomlinson and comedian Alan Carr.

Ben was diagnosed with a rare birth condition called Suture Craniosynostosis which restricts skull growth and causes an abnormal head shape making his achievements even more remarkable as his mother was told he might not walk or even talk.
