A Cannock pub has cut meals to just 50p in a bid to boost custom.
The Four Crosses in Watling Street, Hatherton, introduced a £1 menu to try and save the pub a year ago.
The measure saw an increase in customers but since the summer trade has been down 30 to 40 per cent. Tony and Kaye Rabbitts have now introduced a two-for-one offer on the meals on Saturday lunchtimes.
The couple had been preparing to give up the pub after seeing trade plummet and bills soar before they introduced a deal where everything on the menu is £1.
