Hayley a step closer to beauty final
A Staffordshire teenager is just a catwalk away from the final of the prestigious Miss England competition.

Hayley Smith, aged 17, of Parkview Terrace, Rugeley, has reached the semi-final after being spotted by competition organisers while visiting the Clothes Show at Birmingham NEC last December.
The former Fair Oak High School pupil has already battled her way through three rounds. The semi-final will be at Champneys Springs Hotel in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire, on Monday, with the winner decided by public vote.
If successful, Hayley will then head to the grand final on July 20 at the London Hilton Metropole Hotel.
As well as the Miss England crown and sash, a luxury holiday for two, a collection of make-up and a set of luggage from Carlton are also up for grabs.
Hayley, who is due to begin a beauty course at Stafford College in September, will have to wear a dress promoting the environment and speak for two minutes about its design and its importance.
All contestants are being urged not to wear new clothes in this year's competition which is being branded as Miss England Goes Green.
They must wear something that has been recycled, bought from a charity shop or made from ethically-sourced fabrics for the beauty competition.
Hayley said: "It is wonderful to be part of the competition and I am looking forward to the rest of the experience.
"My friends and family have all been really supportive.
"They know modelling is my passion so it would be great to win."
Voting closes on Monday at midday. Visit www.missengland.info to support Hayley.
