An opening date has been announced for the multi-million pound Morrisons store in Kidderminster.
The giant store will open for trade on September 29 at 9am.
The ribbon will be officially cut by the town's mayor, Councillor Marcus Hart, along with Sir Ken Morrison, honorary president of the store, Marc Bolland, chief executive of Morrisons and store manager Lucy Denton.
It will be 79,000 sq ft in size and will feature a 164-seat customer cafe and a dry cleaners, as well as a butcher, baker and fishmonger where fresh food will be prepared in-store daily.
The store in Green Street has already been awarded an "excellent'' rating for its environmentally friendly design.
A unique feature of the new store will be a system which reduces energy consumption by monitoring carbon dioxide levels within the store.
Other environmental technologies include solar panels to provide hot water and a rainwater harvesting system to flush toilets.
The building's heating, ventilation and lighting are controlled by a hi-tech management system with lights switching off automatically when there is enough daylight or when areas are unoccupied.
