Because it was in Wolverhampton that the fresh-faced members of the boyband embarked on their very first tour in 2004, with the debut show starting in this very city.

Fast forward two decades, and it was clear for every member of the audience at Friday night's return show that the band's love for the venue has never waned. Wolverhampton helped them on their way to stardom and they haven't forgotten it.

Not only was it an incredibly entertaining and vibrant live show, it felt like something much more than that to those of us who are born and bred Wulfrunians.

Returning to The Halls for the first time since its long-awaited reopening felt beyond special. This venue helps to breathe life into the city and once again the bars and pubs and clubs seem bustling. It's the boost we have all needed – the return of live music to a fabulous venue, right on our doorstep.
