Work will be showcased at Newhampton Arts Centre (NAC) on Dunkley Street next month in the Paint the Day 2020 gallery.

It comes after an online event was held to get people to create works of art – with people asked to paint near the homes.

All of the art will be displayed from October 10 with specially-selected judges deciding on the winners, which will be announced on October 16.

The free exhibition runs from October 10 to October 18 from 11am to 4pm each day – and up to 3pm on Sundays.

Visitors from October 10 will be handed a voting slip on arrival to vote for their favourite artworks. As always, the public prize winners will announced when the exhibition ends and notified how to collect their prize.

This year’s exhibition also offers the chance for people to bid on artworks, giving the public an opportunity to own a one-of-a-kind artwork to hang on their walls.
