Free workshops for the Switch Project in Wolverhampton
A social enterprise, that works with children and young people, is delivering free workshops throughout August.
The Switch Project, based in Wolverhampton, is delivering sessions such as arts, music, video and photography to have fun and support wellbeing and mental health.
The project will be delivering the sessions from a pop-up location at the WV1 Studio in the city centre and are being delivered on behalf of Wolverhampton Safer Partnerships and West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner.
The focus is to provide support over the holidays that help to reduce the risk of children and young people being drawn into anti-social behaviour, youth violence and exploitation.
It will also be offering support to those who take part when they return to school in September, particularly those that are starting secondary school.
Christian Esson, senior switch coach, said: “This is a great opportunity for children to take part in our workshops.
"We will be providing positive sessions that use the arts to focus on issues like self-esteem, staying safe and healthy relationships.
"We are delighted to have been funded to provide these activities for free in a great location.”
