The Last Quiz Night On Earth was cancelled two days before the show was due at the centre in Dunkley Street. Since then all classes, courses and events cancelled until at least May 1.

The site can only be accessed by resident firms, two of which provide essential services to the vulnerable.

Eden Support and Renness Support provide social care for adults with learning and physical disabilities, their clients come to NAC for a range of social and creative activities every weekday, but now they are supporting them in their own homes.

NAC is also the home of Wolverhampton’s community radio station, WCRFM, where staff are maintaining access to studios to provide essential local news, interviews and public health updates for the city.

Trevelyan Wright, CEO, said: "We are working with our resident artists and creative companies on how we can create a virtual NAC over the coming days, to provide enjoyment, distraction and maybe even a little learning over next few weeks.

"Please watch this space for more details and stay safe.

"Wolverhampton, we will see you on the other side of this stronger than ever."
