LGBTQ+ Sparkle has been set up by Paul Ryder and Marcus Cotterill who hope to bring the community together in a safe environment.

Paul said: "We decided to bring this service back to the community because there was a huge gap left by funding cuts five years ago.

"I wanted to give something back and do my bit to help other people, because I understand what they're going through.

"We are a drop-in service for people from all backgrounds and cultures in the LGBTQ+ community and anyone is welcome to come along."

As well as a place for people to socialise and meet new friends, the group will also welcome monthly speakers such as Wolverhampton Homes and Healthwatch to give tailored advice and support.

The next meeting will be held at K Teas Cakes, St George's Parade in Wolverhampton from 1pm to 3pm on March 12.

All are welcome but attendees must be over the age of 18.
