The band will play in the city centre venue to kick off an eight-date tour across this month to promote their debut album Leave Before The Light, released earlier this year.

Speaking ahead of the show, bassist Alex Matthews said: "We want to publicise ourselves to the local rock community and spread the word of our rising band and new album Leave Before The Light we released on March 8.

"We feel we can make this a special night. We obviously want you to join us for the show to experience us perform this album."

The band describe themselves as "The Black Crowes sharing a beer with Black Stone Cherry, whilst AC/DC and Guns N’ Roses play pool in the corner", hinting at a heavier approach to rock music.

As well as Alex on bass, At The Sun are Harry Dale providing vocals, Chet Jogia on lead Guitar, drummer Craig Steen and Kieron Heavens with the rhythm Guitar.

Tickets for the Giffard Arms show, priced at £5.65, can be bought here.
