Organised by city-based Jake Hayward, the shows give local, unsigned talent a chance to perform for a big crowd at an established venue to build on their brand and performance style.

The latest show will feature local talent including Paranoia, Tinned Astronaut, Blick Black and the Chilliholers, Second Hand Genes and former The Ticket Unsigned page stars from back in March - Runway Hounds.

"We have our own Spotify playlist with all the bands mentioned above that's definitely worth checking out, which is regularly updated with new releases," says Jake, who also plays bass in Blick Black and the Chilliholers. That playlist is available to listen to here.

"I started Wolftown back in 2016, when there wasn't much buzz about live bands in Wolverhampton. The idea was to get the best Wulfrunian bands together to play one annual show. It worked really well and we have packed out every venue so far.

"The show is organised by me but a lot of the help comes from the bands themselves. They help me produce the merch, make the backdrop for the show and putting up posters around town."

And Jake is passionate about helping the music scene in Wolverhampton flourish, adding: "The gig only features unsigned bands from Wolverhampton. Most bands in the scene record and produce their own music, promoting their release on social media and cutting out the need for a record label."

This show is being branded as the fourth and final Wolftown showcase, but high ticket sales and a big buzz may persuade Jake to reconsider.

Tickets for the Slade Rooms show, priced at £5.65, can be bought here. Doors open at 7pm.
