The former The Ticket Unsigned page stars, who appeared in March, spoke to us at the time to promote single number two, called Sophie. Now they are back to finish 2018 with a bang as the follow up Nightlight is released.

It is due for release on Friday, and fans can follow their Twitter handle and Facebook page - both @RunawayHounds - for updates on where to hear it.

Vocalist and guitarist Owen Stavenuiter said: "The track combines driving guitar tones and a dance-worthy riff with an anthemic chorus, and we're really happy with the final product.

"We've put a lot of work into this song so we want to share it with the world and for it to reach as many people as possible."

Nightlight draws on Owen's own experiences of highly irregular sleep patterns and explores its maddening effects - 'flipping the world on its head', as he puts it.

It was recorded across two days at RML Studios in Wolverhampton's Newhampton Arts Centre and was produced by Ryan Pinson.

Once they've got to hear it for themselves, fans who wish to see it performed live won't have too long to wait either. Runaway Hounds - also featuring Owen's twin brother Kent on lead guitar, an Glover on bass and drummer Callum Ford - are featuring at the upcoming The Final Wolftown night on December 21 at the Slade Rooms. They will be featuring alongside fellow local acts Tinned Astronaut, Blick Black & The Chilliholers and Second Hand Genes.

Tickets for that show, priced at £5.63, are available here.
