Liam Payne and Cheryl shown red card in poll to rename Wednesfield FC stand
They may be one of the world's favourite celebrity couples, worth millions of pounds and dominating the headlines, but a stand at a Black Country football club for Liam and Cheryl is something they can't add to their worth.
It was thought that there was only One Direction the poll would go in when Wednesfield FC asked for help on Twitter to rename their Wenny stand.
The Liam and Cheryl stand - coming in at a close second - has been shown the red card.
More than 850 people voted in the poll, with The Robert Morris End taking the cup with 42 per cent of the vote, compared to Bushbury-born heart-throb Liam and Cheryl's 36 per cent.
Robert Morris is an ex-manager at the club and now runs the social club.
The two pop icons were originally in the lead - but faced a last minute defeat.

Dean Gill, manager at Wednesfield FC, said: "We wanted to do something a little tongue-in-cheek to raise a smile and move away from the seriousness of the last 12 months. It’s been a serious year for the club – we have won two cups.
"The stand has recently been renovated and we just wanted to do something quite light hearted and really put it into the hands of the fans.
"We didn't expect the poll to go as big as it did - it went really well and we had a lot of people talking about it.
"I think the Liam and Cheryl stand was so popular because it may have something to do with the 17 youth teams we have at the club, who may be more aware of One Direction as well as Liam and Cheryl than any other.
"It’s particularly significant for me as my son Leo, 12, was taught at nursery by Liam’s mother too.”
The football club took to Twitter to ask for help last week with a variety of different options including The Robert Morris End, The Brian Savile Stand, New Sponsors Name, or The Liam and Cheryl Stand.
Brian Savile ran the club 10 to 15 years ago.
Dean added: "Robert finds it all hilarious, it's all been madness.
"We will now put the people's choice to the committee and they'll have the final decisions as to whether we will have Robert Morris or an alternative sponsor."
