The Grange Players need to raise £60,000 to carry out important repairs to their base, the playhouse, in Broadway North, or they may be forced out.

To help meet the bill there will be a 'fun general knowledge quiz' and some light entertainment at Friday's event taking place at the Saddlers Club next to Walsall FC in Bescot Crescent from 7.30pm.

Tickets are £7 per person with teams of up to six. For tickets contact Louise on via email to company.secretary@grangeplayers.co.uk or call/text Louise on 07805 068850 for further details.

Meanwhile Hi-de-Hi star, and Grange Players patron, Jeffrey Holland is bringing his one-man show to the town in June to raise money for the fund.

He will be performing' . . . and this is my friend Mr Laurel' on June 8 and 9 at Aldridge Youth Theatre when he will play the part of Stan Laurel as he looks back over years he has had with Oliver Hardy.

It will be followed by a Q&A session talking about Holland's career in film, television and on stage.

Tickets are £10 each and available on 07909 036835.

A Burns Supper held in January in aid of the #savethegrangeplayhouse fund raised almost £900 to help pay for the vital work.
