After a hugely successful run at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre, Ladies Day will be showing at Netherton Arts Centre until this Saturday evening.

The performance opened today at the centre on Northfield Road – with a talented local cast.

Ladies' Day is a comedy drama from Amanda Whittington about four unlikely lasses from Hull who decide to take a day trip to the races.

Focusing on the friendship between the four distinctly different women, the play has proved hugely popular with amateur groups across the UK.

When the show performed in Wolverhampton, it was adapted to portray the characters as local Black Country lasses, with strong Wolverhampton accents.

Starring former Eastenders actress Cheryl Fergison and ex-Hollyoaks actress Emma Rigby, the show attracted huge crowds, all eager to enjoy a day at the races.

The Netherton performance will also depict local woman, rather than characters from Hull.

Shows run each night at the Arts Centre until Saturday night and start at 7.30pm.
