Wolverhampton Grand at 125: I have a hunch this will go well
Finding himself many miles from Notre Dame, a visiting hunchback headed for the nearest equivalent that Wolverhampton had to offer.
Quasimodo, alias actor Micky O'Donoughue, scaled one of the distinctive lamp posts outside St Peter's Church in the city centre along with fellow actors not pictured here.
They were appearing in the New Vic's send up of The Hunchback of Notre Dame which enjoyed a week-long run at the Grand Theatre in Lichfield Street in November 1988.
Appearing with him were actor and comedian Matthew Kelly, already a star by then for his television work in shows like Kelly's Eye and Stars In Their Eyes, who was playing Dom Frollo. Also larking about in St Peter's Square was Tracey Childs, who was well known in the late 1980s for her starring role in the popular drama serial Howards' Way.
