Flog It star Adam lifts lid on gems

Hidden gems and vintage knick-knacks were uncovered as antiques expert Adam Partridge stopped in the city.

The BBC Flog It! presenter made a special trip to Wolverhampton to host a charity valuation day for Compton Care.

Fans swarmed the hospice's Codsall shop with their treasures as the expert valuer glimpsed at the finds.

Codsall Shop Manager Rosemary Gillan commented: “It was a really great day and Adam was such a lovely guy.

"Everybody was crowded around him, it was just like a real-life episode of Flog It.

"One girl brought a bracelet that she had picked up at a car boot sale for £6 to be valued. Adam told her it’s a Georg Jensen bracelet worth £350.

“The event went so well, we’ll definitely be looking to host another later in the year.”

The event at the Station Road charity shop saw people from across the region bring their items to be examined by Partridge, in return for a donation to the charity on Friday.

The presenter is ones of the Uk's best known antiques and fine art personalities, regularly appearing on programmes including Bargain Hunt, Dickinson’s Real Deal and Cash In the Attic.
