Feel the Noize as Wolverhampton rockers Slade bring headline tour to Birmingham

The Black Country quartet - made up of Dave Hill, John Berry, Russell Keefe and Alex Bines - will perform at the city's Asylum Venue this December as part of their Christmas tour.

Formed in 1966, the iconic band is best known for songs such as Cum On Feel The Noize, Mama Weer All Crazee Now, Gudbye T'Jane, How Does It Feel My Friend Stan, and their best-selling single, Merry Xmas Everybody.

In a career spanning six decades, the group has influenced artists such as Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Ramones, Sex Pistols, Oasis, The Clash, KISS, Mötley Crüe, Poison, Def Leppard.

The group hit headlines earlier this year after former drummer Don Powell claimed he was sacked from the band by Hill via email.

Powell, who met Hill in Slade’s precursor The Vendors in 1963, accused his old friend of sending him a “cold email” saying he was no longer required.

Slade will perform at Birmingham's Asylum Venue on December 18.

The group will be supported by Sons of the Seventies.
