The city centre venue was illuminated during last night's Clap for Carers to support frontline staff during the coronavirus pandemic.

Representatives from the venue said it was fun to set up this spectacle for 'such a worthy cause'.

"It was simply a thank you, with a very small thing we did while we are not operating, compared to the fantastic work being done by the NHS and other key workers," said venue manager Rich Tice.

"We’ve had comments already from people who could see it from Dudley."

Various shows at the venue have been affected by Covid-19, with acts such as Fish, Michael Schenkerfest, In Flames and more postponing upcoming gigs.

Whitechapel, The Treatment, Eureka Machines and Alien Weaponry have cancelled shows at the venue.
