Parkes Hall Social Club, in Dudley, will be the venue for A Night for Hollie on March 6.

The event has been organised Karen Bourne and Paul Millard, after they were inspired to support Hollie Flatman.

The 10-year-old, from Netherton, suffers with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) and all money raised on the night will go towards making her life at home more comfortable.

The fundraising evening includes five acts – Amy Lou, Chris Farr, Izzye, Emily Badger and Stuart James – as well as a raffle.

Karen said: "My friend Paul Millard does a lot for charity, as well as myself.

"We put on charity shows down at the social club and when I saw this little girl there one night it brought me to tears.

"I said to Paul we had to do something for her and that's why we've organised this.

"Hollie's parents do a lot of fundraising for Spinal Muscular Atrophy themselves but all the money raised on this night will go straight to Hollie, to help with her living conditions."

Hollie's parents were also left stunned in December when they received funding for a new, fully-equipped wheelchair, something their daughter needed to help her support her independence.

As the family had raised tens of thousands of pounds for SMA charities, members of the community set up a Crowdfunding page and raised the £18,000 needed for a new wheelchair, through the page and various fundraising events.

At the same time, a number of construction groups worked together to provide the Flatman family with a brand new driveway at their home.

All groups and team members did the work free of charge.

Donna Bremner from Highgrove Developments, who led the work on the driveway, said the family wanted to thank everyone who had given their time and money to help Hollie.

Tickets for the charity night at Parkes Hall Social Club cost £6 and are available from Mr Millard on 07900 806130.
