Prospective students interested in attending the Midland's brand new-state-of-the-art music institute still have time to apply - despite the UCAS deadline for university applications closing earlier this week.

Places at Resonance, located in the Cable Plaza building on Brierley Hill’s The Waterfront, will be limited to ensure that students get the best teaching and practical experiences

Due to its unique nature of accepting applications directly, similar to conservatories, Resonance at Brierley Hill is still accepting applications from prospective students considering studying at the institute.

From September students will have the opportunity to study for undergraduate degrees in everything from popular music performance, production to composition and business.

Anyone who wants to apply can submit an application directly via the Resonance website, which will accept forms until the end of August 2020.

David Barnard, chief executive, said: "Everything is really coming together now at Resonance and we’re excited to start showing students around as part of our open days next month.

"For the first cohort who attend this year, they will not only be a part of history but will also be getting a top-class education in the music industries.

"Those interested should apply via the Resonance website and once their application is received they will then be invited to the audition."

A series of open days are being held over the coming months for prospective students who are still unsure about where to study - a full list can be found online and prior booking is essential.

"We'd encourage potential students to book onto one of our open days to truly understand what makes Resonance different from other providers and see the amazing facilities they could be studying in." David added.
