Billy Bragg to play series of Birmingham shows to mark career
Billy Bragg will bring his new headline tour to Birmingham for three dates later this year.
The 61-year-old musician and political activist tireless will celebrate his 35 year career with three unique shows at the city's O2 Institute.
The first, his current setlist, which includes hits from across the decades. The second night will see him perform songs from his first three albums, Life’s A Riot With Spy Vs Spy, Brewing Up With Billy Bragg and Talking With The Taxman About Poetry, before then finishing up with a third night performing tracks from his last three records, Workers Playtime, Don't Try This At Home and William Bloke.
Billy's career began in 1977 when he formed punk rock group Rigg Raff with Wiggy. He has since gone on to release 10 studio albums and is best known for songs such as Way Over Yonder in the Minor Key, California Stars, Levi Stubbs' Tears, Waiting for the Great Leap Forwards and A New England.
Billy Bragg will play Birmingham's O2 Institute from December 1 to 3.
