Carrie Underwood to play Birmingham

Carrie Underwood will bring her headline arena tour to Birmingham later this year.

The multi-platinum, seven-time Grammy Award winner will bring The Cry Pretty tour to the city's Resorts World Arena to celebrate the release of her sixth studio album, Cry Pretty.

The 35-year-ild singer, songwriter and actress first rose to fame following her 2005 American Idol win.

She has since amassed more than 100 major honours, sold 64 million records worldwide, and recorded 26 number one singles, 13 of which she co-wrote, with a catalogue of songs that has been streamed nearly three billion times worldwide.

Carrie is the first female artist to be twice named the Academy of Country Music’s Entertainer of the Year. In addition to seven GRAMMY® awards, she has won seven CMA Awards, 18 CMT Music Awards, 13 American Music Awards and numerous other awards and honours.

The music star was also recognized by Pollstar as the top female country touring artist for each of her headlining tours in 2008, 2010, 2012 and for 2016’s The Storyteller Tour - Stories in the Round.

Carrie Underwood will play Birmingham's Resorts World Arena on June 28.

Tickets will go on sale at 9am this Thursday.
