Nile Rodgers and Chic to play Birmingham

American record producer Nile Rodgers will play Arena Birmingham later this year alongside funk band Chic.

This series of special appearances will mark the end of an amazing year for the 65-year-old musician - who was most recently appointed the Chairman of the Songwriters Hall of Fame and The Chief Creative Advisor for the iconic Abbey Road Studios.

The Grammy-winning composer, producer, arrange and guitarist formed Chic in 1976, best know for hit disco tracks such as Good Times, Eeverybody Dance, and Le Freak.

Nile went on to become a music producers and performers, working alongside artists such as David Bowie, Diana Ross, George Michael, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, Duran Duran, Pharrell Williams and many more.

Nile Rodgers and Chic have released a brand new record, It's About Time, this year, featuring the likes of Elton John, Emeli Sandé, Lady Gaga, Nao, Mura Masa, Stefflon Don, Cosha and Craig David.

MistaJam will support the group during this tour.

Nile Rodgers and Chic will play Arena Birmingham on December 16.
