Keith Emerson celebration show coming to Birmingham

Fans of Keith Emerson can enjoy an evening dedicated to the late star in Birmingham later this month.

Keith Emerson: A Musical Celebration Of Life will star keyboard icon Rick Wakeman and a symphony orchestra.

The evening will pay tribute to Keith, as well as the music of Emerson, Lake and Palmer.

The band, which formed back in 1970 in London, is best known for songs such as Lucky Man, From The Beginning and Fanfare For The Common Man.

Others set to star in the show include Californian pianist Rachel Flowers, French musician Thierry Eliez and Emerson, Lake and Palmer tribute act Noddy's Puncture.

The gig will take place at the Symphony Hall on Friday, July 28.

Tickets, priced between £33 and £78, are now on sale.
