Hundreds tackle muddy Stourbridge Stagger - in pictures and video
Hundreds of runners braved muddy conditions in the latest edition of a gruelling 10-mile event.
Around 500 people took part in the Stourbridge Stagger race on Sunday and tackled the 'multi-terrain' course.
Those leading the event dubbed the day a 'success' and have already said it is to return next year.
Race director Ian Clarke, 63, said: "It was a success – the weather was decent for us today.

"The course was testing and there was some tight racing at the front.
"People come back year after year to do it – I think they just like the course.
"If the marshals are friendly and encouraging the runners appreciate that.
"You only have to get it wrong once and you can lose hundreds of runners so you need to keep them happy."
Mr Clarke said the £10 charge for the event was not a bid to make profit.
H e said: "It is peanuts really and we do not do it to make money – we do it because we want to give something back to the sport."
"The course has hardly changed over the years. It is not a bland course and it has got its trials and tribulations – It will be back next year."
