Zuri owner hopes to see business bubbling back
An independent coffee house has created 'bubble' cubicles for its customers to help stop potential spread of coronavirus.
The owner of Zuri Coffee in Lichfield Street, Wolverhampton, invested in the measure during lockdown.
Sham Sharma reopened Zuri for customers on Monday after restrictions on restaurants were lifted at the weekend.
"We have put in the bubble cubicles as an extra precaution. We have spent a lot of money on doing this to provide a safe environment.
"We wanted to make sure both customers and staff are safe."
All staff have been equipped with personal protective equipment with visors.
The cubicles can seat up to four and there are six within the premises.
Mr Sharma, who is chairman of Wolverhampton Business Forum, is opening his business Monday to Saturday with the new opening hours for Zuri between 10am to 2pm and 5pm to 8.30pm.
He said that West Midlands Mayor Andy Street had already paid him a visit to have a look at the bubble concept.
