The Tree House champagne bar will be opening in July

The Tree House, in Mill Street, is scheduled to open at the end of July and will offer a wide variety of champagnes, cocktails, tapas, wines, bottled beers and ciders.

Business owner Rocco Johnson signed a six-year lease on the property, based above the La Casa Italian restaurant, through property consultancy Fisher German.

Work is well underway on the new bar which will create five new jobs which are due to be advertised in the coming weeks.

Rocco said: “We’re very excited to launch what will be Stafford’s only champagne bar.

“We wanted to create a high-end experience for our customers and have a menu featuring the very best champagnes and cocktails to reflect this.

“I have my core team in place and will be recruiting another five members of staff next month.

“We expect the bar will be ready to open at the end of July should government restrictions allow, and we will be implementing all of the necessary measures to ensure our customers can visit safely.

“It has been a challenging few months for the hospitality industry, but we are confident that the luxury experience we are creating will help attract customers back into the town centre and support the local economy.”

Lauren Allcoat, of Fisher German, acted on the lease on behalf of client Martrus15 Ltd, said: “It is fantastic to see that despite the current uncertain circumstances, new businesses are still being attracted to Stafford.

“It shows confidence not only in the town, but also in the industry, and we wish Rocco every success in the launch of The Tree House.”
