Bantock House and West Park cafes to reopen for takeaways

The cafes at Bantock House Museum and Park and West Park in Wolverhampton will be back open from tomorrow.

The Courtyard Cafe at Bantock house and the West Park Tea Rooms will be offering takeaway hot and cold drinks along with food from a reduced menu.

Social distancing measures will be in place including a one-way system, managed capacity, controlled queuing, contactless payments and marshals to help answer question.

Councillor Jacqueline Sweetman, Wolverhampton Council cabinet member for city assets and housing, said: “In recent weeks there has been an increase in the number of people using Wolverhampton’s green spaces.

"We therefore feel it is an appropriate time to offer a takeaway service only from Bantock Courtyard Café and West Park Tea Rooms.

“There are a number of social distancing measures in place that visitors must adhere to for their own safety and that of the onsite staff.

“Bins are provided around the parks and visitors are asked to use them. If the bins are full then visitors are advised to take please take their rubbish home.”

Bantock Courtyard Café summer opening hours are Monday to Sunday, 9am until 5pm. Last drinks orders will be 4.30pm.

West Park Tea Rooms summer opening times are Monday to Sunday, 10am until 4.30pm. Last drinks orders will be 4pm.
