All set for grand finale Black Country Folk Festival and fun days
This year's successful Black Country Festival will draw to a close over the weekend with finale folk concert at Himley.
Other weekend events include Brier FairBlack Country Festival Funday on Saturday and Sedgley Black Country Festival Funday on Sunday.
Delighted festival organisers say despite downpours the programme has attracted much support across the region.
Dave Brownhill, of the team, says: "It has been challenging at times, but the festival has overall been really successful.
"It started on July 1 with Halesowen Carnival which attracted record crowds. The Halesowen Multicultural Day was also fantastic. Other events held included in Coseley and Gornal among others.
"It was a real shame that the Bilston event got cancelled due to the rain.
"We also had a brilliant day at the Black Country Living Museum where Wolverhampton-born singer Beverley Knight was among the guests.
"The fact that she agreed to come was a great encouragement for the festival to keep going and grow. She was really generous with her time is a big supporter of the Black Country.
"We're rolling down to the end of the festival which will close on Sunday. We'd encourage folks to come along and enjoy the remaining events."
The finale show is Black Country Folk Festival on Saturday and Sunday from 11am-10pm at Himley Hall and Park featuring acts including Man the Lifeboats, Attila the Stockbroker and Jess Silk.
Brier FairBlack Country Festival Funday is on Saturday at Moor Street Shopping Centre, in Brierley Hill, from 11am-5pm; and the Sedgley Black Country Festival Funday is also on Sunday from midday-4pm in All Saints Gardens off Ladies Walk.
The community fun days will include street entertainers, face painters, market stalls, food and Black Country Radio Stage.
Entertainer Kenny Craig, who lives in the area, will be taking the stage at the Sedgley fun day at 2pm.
"It will be a chance for people living in the area to come together. I'm looking forward to what should be a great community fun day," he adds.
