Peaky Blinders creator backs Midlands at Europe's largest real estate show

Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight is travelling to France to support the Midlands at Europe's largest real estate show.

MIPIM, which will be promoting £11 billion of investment opportunities in the region, takes place in Cannes from Tuesday to Friday.

Mr Knight, a screenwriter and TV and film director, will be speaking on how regeneration is being driven by the culture and creativity of the region in the Midlands pavilion on Thursday.

His BBC TV series, which is partly filmed at the Black Country Museum in Dudley, has been a worldwide hit.

The Thursday programme in the pavilion is on the theme of people, ideas and talent.

It will also feature a presentation on Coventry being European City of Culture in 2021

The pavilion will showcase major investment and growth opportunities to the more than 24,000 who will attend that include potential investors, property agents and developers from more than 100 countries.

There will be 40 debates, discussions and presentations held in the Midlands pavilion.
