Echo and The Bunnymen will play Birmingham on Champions League final night after u-turn
Echo and The Bunnymen have backtracked on plans to rearrange their upcoming gig in Birmingham.
The Liverpudlian group had revealed plans to push the gig back by three days as it clashed with the Champions League final.
However, the band has now performed a u-turn, confirming the show will go ahead as planned at the Symphony Hall on Saturday, May 9.
They apologised for 'any unnecessary disappointment'.
A statement said: "Our Birmingham Symphony Hall show will now still go ahead on the original scheduled date of Saturday, May 26.
"We’ve decided to reverse our decision to change the show date following our fans reaction to last night’s announcement.
"Mac and Will are deeply upset about the situation and are really sorry for any unnecessary disappointment caused."
