Black Country Living Museum on track for August reopening
The Black Country Living Museum is still planning to open in August despite fellow attractions reopening in the coming weeks.
Staffordshire theme parks Alton Towers is set to reopen to the public on July 14, while National Trust properties such as Shugborough Estate near Stafford, Wightwick Manor in Wolverhampton and Dudmaston Hall near Bridgnorth are now available to visit with prebooked tickets.
A statement released by thee Dudley attraction said: "We’re delighted by the response to our survey. We're an open-air site, but some indoor areas mean close interactions with visitors and staff.
"We’re working on plans and need time to ensure we’re a safe place for all, so we’ll stay closed until our planned reopening on August 1."
Tickets to the attraction are still available to purchase online to be used when it reopens.

This update coincides with the news that it is expected Boris Johnson will today announce that zoos and drive-in cinemas can reopen to the public from June 15.
Animal parks across the UK, including Chester and Twycross zoos, had already warned they may have to close indefinitely without urgent funding.
