Choir to replicate miners songs at Black Country Museum event
A well-loved choir in Wolverhampton will be performing at The Black Country Museum to celebrate the annual Red Sky at Night event
The Wolverhampton Orpheus Male Voice Choir was formed in 1943 and in its time has supported a number of charities and become well respected across the West Midlands.
Members will be situated at the museum's coal mine's pothead for a celebratory performance of the miners, including singing some traditional songs.
Following this, they will also perform in the village on the canal bridge and the public house yard.
The singers will be dressed in traditional miners attire and hope to create an immersive performance to transport visitors back to the 1900s.
The Red Sky at Night event will be held on May 16 and performances will be held from 7pm to 9pm.
