Located on Underhill Lane, opposite Bushbury Crematorium, the farm and accompanying tearoom are calm and quiet, barring the baa-ing of 14 little lambs.

Northycote’s Environment Awareness Officer, Helen Allez from Penn, is very happy with their progress since their birth eight weeks ago.

She said: “They’re doing really well! They're growing well, we haven't got too many ones that are looking too scrawny. They've come on lovely considering how hot the weather's been and how little grass has been growing.

“I love them all, I think they're brilliant. I mean, Ewe-nice is my favourite just because she's the one that we've been feeding, and she came home with me for five days initially to get her on the bottle.

“Then she's been back here on the bucket. So, she's a favourite, but I love them all, you can't not!”

Alongside its seven sheep and 14 lambs, we saw chickens and humans alike enjoying the sun – the hens in their pen and the people in the tearoom, which had moved its seating onto the courtyard to make the most of the weather.
