Walking the Way of the Cross is a walk of witness and church-goers will walk in procession, following actors portraying Jesus carrying his cross and his Roman soldier guards through the shopping zone.

For the first time the entire Easter story including the resurrection of Jesus has told in the Bible will be incorporated in the programme, a theme which was trialled at last year's Walsall Easter Festival.
Previously the re-enactment organised by Walsall Town Centre Ministry stopped at the sombre execution marked on Good Friday which is a special day in the Christian calendar.
The procession stops at various points for readings and drama finishing on The Bridge where Jesus’ crucifixion is commemorated.

There will be a service featuring hymns, prayers and the address will be given by Pastor Debo Adesina of RCCG Victory Centre, in St Michael's Street, Caldmore.
Malcolm Rose, of the organising team, says: "This year the service is extended to complete the telling of the Easter story."
"A wonderful celebration of this special day in the Christian calendar."
The event is being organised by Walsall Town Centre Ministry and Love Walsall with contributions from many different denominations. The annual walk is usually attended by several hundred people.
The procession sets off from in front of the Poundland store at the top of Park Street at 10.30am on Good Friday and processes through the town to The Bridge for the service and witness to Jesus' crucifixion.
Everyone is welcome to attend the commemoration spectacle which is a key part of the borough's events diary attracting shoppers and tourists alike.
